I'm not one for bringing my religious beliefs on the internet if I can help it.

I try not to either. Unless I'm aware of the beliefs of the person I'm talking to. Or I'm close to them XD

Hum, well, never see a poll about religion only lots of stamps saying this and that about religion. Religion issues are mutual in the internet so I'm feeling pretty much neutral about the whole thing. XD
Except if it's happen near me.

I've seen quite a few XD but I watch a TON of people. It's...ridiculous how many people I watch.
I wouldn't say that they're mutual on the internet. I mean, I'd say that the vast majority of artists (from what I've seen on a few of the polls that I'm talking about) are purely atheist or agnostic. But there are also tons of other artists (though there may be a smaller portion) that are Christian or Muslim. I'm not sure why this is but religion certainly isn't a mutual issue on the internet.
Unless you meant something else by mutual in which case the paragraph above becomes pretty much invalid XD
In any case, I try to avoid commenting on these polls  people can get so utterly ridiculous about religion that I see no point in expressing my views if they're just going to be shot down by some Jesus-lover.

Well, the reason why I said it's mutual is because, is all over the net, some hates this religion and some try to defend their religion, so I harbor no negative nor positive feeling over them. XD Or maybe I used the wrong word in my previous sentences. XDD

I'm Christian but I don't force people to accept my belief, so a fight over religion is something I tend to stay away from. XD I read, understand, but never comment. :giggle:

Ohhh I see XD I think you used the wrong word though.
I don't force people to accept my beliefs either. Honestly, there's no point since no one listens and I feel like it's kind of rude. I stay away from religion the best I can, as well.

It honestly doesn't matter to me whether or not someone believes in a certain religion or not.

The people who kill each other over it are the extremists. :/
There will be extremists in any group whether it be religious or not. I don't understand why people fight so much over it. That is one thing that makes everyone unique and special and beautiful.
But there will always be people out there that are very close-minded. Those are the people who are ugly on the inside. (I'm not talking about people who don't believe in religion or anything like that, just the people who think that don't respect others' opinions)

I'm such a hopeless person though

Heehee, just my opinion on the whole religion thing~~~

It doesn't matter to me either XD I'm just talking about expressing your views on it. Cuz it may not matter to us but it matters to other people.
Indeed they are. But some people are pretty much bred to be extremists. And it's not that they're close-minded either. It's just all they've ever known.
For example, in....Islam I think it was. They're....some religion which I believe was Islamic or something XD (my mind just went totally blank on this issue. I apologize.) If I'm correct, their government controls everything there and keeps track of information that goes in and out of Islam. They have no clue what goes on in other countries. Even if they did recieve information in say, newspaper form. Most people would have no clue how to read it because they didn't recieve a good enough education. This is ALSO because of their government. If I'm right, their government takes the money and uses it for themseleves instead of on the people. Lots of people are poor and were led to believe that it's OUR fault and that their god wants them to kill us. But it's what they believe and they weren't led to believe better. By having their people focus their anger at us, the government prevents the people from looking at them and all the wrong that their doing.
If you were told that the earth was flat, and that was the only thing that you were told since the day you were born, would you believe it? You learned about it in school and everything. That's all you know. It's the same principle. They're not close-minded at all.
Now, that's just one religion XDD I know mormans and Christians and people of other religions and for educated people, they're pretty damn close-minded. But you were making it sound like people of ALL religions are close-minded. And they're not XD
But if you really think about it, people who are atheist are close-minded as well. That's actually the main reason why I'm agnostic. It means that you're open to the idea of their being a god as long as you see proof. And, no, the frigging BIBLE is not proof enough for me XD
Just ignore me, I'm good at talking for long periods of time about religion.

Ummm... I think you're thinking of China. Their government does control what they want their people to see and hear.

And another thing, not /everyone/ involved in the Islamic religion believes that it is US that makes them unhappy. That's just the extremists.

But being raised a certain isn't always a good excuse. I was raised as a very, VERY religious girl. I would go to church everyday and it was to the point where my grandparents and mother would tell me that people who sin were going to hell. That included the gays. My family told me that all gays are going to hell too. That was how I was raised.
Look at me now, I'm freaking BISEXUAL. I don't think I'm going to hell for being attracted to people from the opposite sex.

It really depends on the person. If they are the kind that follow orders like cattle, then they will stick to what they've been told. But if they are adventurous or seek knowledge about other cultures and things, they will change their mind.

I took time to learn about other people's religion, and I love hearing about a lot of them. They all interest me.

Sure, some people don't get the privilege to learn about the world, but that doesn't always stop people from wanting too, you know?

I might be but China isn't the only government XDD
Well, that's true.
Yes, but if you think about it, we're also educated. You learned things in school and from other people that you didn't learn from your parents. It showed you a different way of thinking. However, that's all those people know. That's what they hear from their government, their family, and any classes they may take. Religion wasn't all that you knew so your opinion on it changed. I was raised pretty religiously as well XD
But usually the ones who seek new knowledge and other things are the ones who have been exposed to it. Like I said, these people are pretty poor and often can't afford a decent education.
Religions are kind of interesting but I can't bring myself to believe in it :/ We have to learn about other religions in World History and while it is interesting to listen to, it's kind of unnerving because I'm always afraid someone's going to call me out for not believing in it XD
That's very true as well ^^

You do have a point there, but it doesn't mean they don't ever want to go out and learn more about it.
My aunt grew up in Thailand. She ended up meeting my uncle and they fell in love. She got the chance to move here in the U.S. and learn about our cultures and religions. In that case, you wouldn't entirely need an education (although, it would be nice) to get to learn about the other religions and stuff.

I loved World History because of all of the religions. I can honestly say that I respect a lot of them and even, heehee, believe in some. Like reincarnation~ I love how magical it would be to die and be reborn as something as simple as a flower. I dunno, as much trouble as religion causes for some people, it honestly puts me at peace knowing that something as wonderful as that could happen to me rather than rotting in the earth~

I doubt many people would call you out on not believing in anything. Hell, in my school, if you say you're a Catholic, Baptist, or whatever, you get some crap about it. Some people went as far as bullying a Chinese exchange student for his religion.
But then again, people are terrible. They will find something different about you and give you hell.

Well, yeah XD you have a good point there too.
Oh, that's cool :3 is she happy to have moved here or what? But didn't she have an education in Thailand? Or didn't she? o-o
I believe in reincarnation XDD buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I don't believe in the religion. It would be pretty magical <3 I like anything magical.
They probably won't. But people aren't very open about religion at my school. Unless you're close to them, that is. People don't give other people hell about it either O_O geez my school is way different than others.

She is honestly very intrigued by how different it is here. She says that it's very beautiful here. This is her first time being in weather below freezing. Ahahah, you should see her face when she sees snow. We take so many things for granted. XD We call snow a pain and stuff, but it's so beautiful and magical to those who haven't seen it before.
I'm not sure how much of an education she had. But I was just making a point that some people are lucky enough to fall in love /and/ get the chance to travel half way across the world.

Eh, it could be that only the "freaks" like me get made fun of, no matter what we say/do/believe. XDDD

Whoa, really? I'm not surprised about what she thinks of snow though XD people in other parts of the US think of it the same way. I don't think of it as a pain though :B I think it's gorgeous but it's too cold for me to be outside in. XDD Even in room temperature I'm freezing.
Ah, I see ^^
My twinsy is no freak D; the people in your school are just mean.

I don't really know what to do when I see them, I have very strong negative beliefs about religion so I don't want to start a war 'bout it and make everyone hate me XD

I'm not really sure what to do either XD I usually just delete them. But if I know the person's views on religion, I might comment.
I have pretty strong views on religion myself XD it's a topic that I could talk to someone about for a pretty long time. Which I actually do at school sometimes. But when it's on DA, I feel the same as you. I don't really want to start some sort of war either...

Maybe I'm just overreacting. But it's still how I feel. I have to know who I can talk to about these things. Even though polls are anonymous I always feel like someone's going to freak out.
